Hey, what’s the point of talking together if you already know all that I’m gonna say?
God What’s the point for newlyweds to say “I love you” if they’ve just got married? They know perfectly well that they love each other, don’t they?
Piploum No! If a couple who love each other never say “I love you” because they love one another, they will not love each other for long, as when you want to love and be loved, you have to say “I love you” to the person you love because they love hearing “I love you” even if they already know they’re loved. Or something like that, anyway…
God Well then, even if I already know all that you’re thinking, you now understand that my greatest pleasure is when you feel like sharing your thoughts to me. It deepens our complicity, doesn’t it?

God Yes, what ?
Piploum That you created man in your image. And as a result, man is full of skills and creativity! For exemple, mmh… in architecture, they created what they call the wonders of the world. From the Great Wall of China to the Channel Tunnel, they will always surprise me.
God Yeah. There would have been one more if they had had enough time to finish off the Tower of Babel. But I had to veto that one.
Piploum Oh. And it seems they have rediscovered the tower’s site…
God Pfff, there was nothing exceptional about that tower, you know. Their only aim was to build up the highest tower in the world. And just to come and flout me. As if putting bits of stone on top of other stones could be compared to all my creations. It was such a ridiculous thing to see that I confused their language for fun. In the end, nobody could understand anybody else. They just had to stop, you see.
Piploum It’s a bit like nowadays’ great powers. I’ve noticed they enjoy carrying out gigantic projects, only to satisfy their pride and show their power.
God Yeah. And yet, God knows… It’s true! … I know just how much I love to see men making all kinds of things.
Piploum Yes, it’s true that in the weapons’ field, they have made extraordinary progress! Their fighter planes are so beautiful that they often organize parades. Brrmmm!
God I was not exactly refering to that kind of creativity. Yes, look at Solomon. He spent 40 years of his life embellishing Jerusalem. He even built a temple for me. Of course, to him it seemed enormous and for me it was really tiny. But anyway, what a pretty little jewel ! And between you and me, as a man was interested in me for once, wherever the place, I was not going to be fussy, was I?
Piploum I think there’s nothing left of that temple today…
God Humm… It was destroyed once, then rebuilt, then redestroyed. In the end there’s just one wall left! Anyway, I warned them, didn’t I? The crucial point is not the temple, but the relationship I have with you. They despised that relationship, I allowed the destruction of the temple.
Piploum The annoying thing with men is that most of their buildings get damaged with time. Either cowards, villains, or jealous men come and break everything, either nobody takes care of them. As a result, they spend quite a lot of time looking for remains and restoring them…
God That’s why I think this here is such a great invention. An absolute little marvel of technology! Come and look at that: you press a button, and the subject freezes in the time on a picture.
Piploum By the way, they press the button so much that they are swamped with images which are all very interesting, aren’t they?
God Come on, frankly, imagine Moses with a camera. Nobody could deny that I opened the Red Sea anymore and no one could go on saying that the Egyptians got drowned in 40 inches of mud! Oh yeah, imagine, all of my exploits immortalized for men! Well really, I personnally don’t need a camera. But still, look at that… the Deluge, Jericho, David against Goliath, the resurrection…
